Scottish Georgian Dirk by Hunter – Clan Hamilton

Scottish Georgian Dirk by Hunter Clan Hamilton and used by the  74th Highlanders. Gilt brass scabbard with super decoration and the pommel matching caps engraved with line decoration. The blade plain but in good condition some staining, the reverse of the scabbard engraved with Hunter Army Contractor to His Majesty  Edinburgh. G Hunter worked between 1797 and 1822 it is complete with replacement matching knife and fork but you would not know, please note crack to hilt. Family crest of Clan Hamilton which is a ducal cornet an oak tree fructed and penetrated transversely in the main stem by a frame saw proper which is mounted on the scabbard.
