Scottish Back Sword c 1740 – 1760 possibly copied from the style of Walter Allan of Stirling full basket with pieced slots. The pommel domed with chiselled lines and complete with leather grip secured with brass wire. The straight single edged blade has been extensively cleaned to the point that the top small fuller runs out one side slightly shorter than the other and no markings are visible. Overall length 39 inches the blade 33 inches and 1.5 inches in width at the hilt.
