Kings Own Scottish Borderers Field Officer’s by Wilkinson

Kings Own Scottish Borderers field officers is by Wilkinson no 49864 WW1 period. Regimental field officer’s hilt with Kings Own Scottish Borderers badge to centre, fish skin grip and fitted with original liner. The straight broad sword blade with clear etching with a little age wear and is complete with parade scabbard with repair to the throat. The sword was purchased by Robert Valantine Anderson in 1914 but was killed in action a year later. The blade has the initials R S M i can only assume the sword was passed on within the regiment at the time to a new officer with these initials further research required
