Georgian 1796 Infantry Officers Sword

Georgian 1796 Infantry Officers Sword regulation hilt with folding shell guard inside. Urn shaped pommel, the grip bound in silver wire which has slightly discoloured with age. Straight blade with flat back engraved J J Runkel Solingen and single broad fuller to spear point, gilt decoration with foliage G R crown, royal coat of arms and stands of arms. Complete with leather scabbard with brass gilt mounts top one engraved WEBB London, two loose rings and frog stud.
