French Plug Bayonet 17th Century

Excellent plug bayonet with brass mounts plain pommel and helmet head finials on the quillions. The grip is dark hard wood with double edged section with a narrow fuller on each side. The fullers are pierced with a series of decorative holes but no markings possibly a rapier blade re used.
