French Hussar – Light Cavalry Flintlock Carbine c 1830 – unsure of the exact model as no visible markings to barrel. The lock plate engraved Mre Rle de Chatellerault and the stock with cheek piece stamped CHATELL . Brass furniture with inspection stamps and the butt cap marked H8 possibly 8th Hussars. The side of the stock has been professionally infilled where the saddle bar would have been fitted and there is no fitting on the front brass mount to secure the bar in place. The stock has also been altered to accommodate the fitting and securing of a steel ramrod. Barrel length 50cm overall 87cm. UK shipping Free, internationally at cost
