English Post Office Hanger c 1780

A very rare Post Office short sword or hanger very similar to Infantry hanger 1760 but shorter, fish skin ribbed grip with brass stirrup hilt and brass pommel. The slightly curved blade is single edged becoming double towards the tip complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts.
