English Model 1827 Naval Officers Presentation Sword to Henry Boyes regulation sword, gilt brass guard and bound grip with an etched pipe back lightly curved blade. The etchings are still visible the fouled anchor and the maker’s name Hunt and Collins of Haymarket London and Victorian crown plus floral decoration. The presentation reads presented to Henry Boyce on 30th August 1841 by Viscount Galway. His naval history states he severed on both Royal Sovereign 100 and Queen 98 both ships were at Battle of Trafalgar and transferred to Fame 74 on 29th October 1805 confirmed by his event history 21 October 1805 – battle of Trafalgar – 29th October 1805 Fame 74 as Lieutenant.
