English Hounslow Hanger c 1650

A very fine English Hounslow Hanger with curved single edged German blade. High quality chiselled shell guard with matching knuckle Gard and pommel. The stag horn grip with smooth polished grip. The slightly curved blade is with armourer’s stamps to both sides which are worn but possibly those of Martino Antonio of Solingen. It is complete with black leather scabbard with decorative steel mounts overall length 75 cm the blade 61 cm
