Cavalry Officer’s Presentation Sword

Cavalry Officer’s Presentation Sword four bar steel hilt with stepped pommel and raised tang button. Oak leaves engraved on quillon and back strap and complete with fish skin bound grip. Excellent slightly curved blade etched with crown over VR foliage and agricultural implements in the form of a stand of arms. The presentation panel reads as follows, Presented to Corp F. J Margereson Mansfield Troop. Sherwood rangers Y.C as best swordsman during training at Mansfield May 1884. Marker marked Harvey Birmingham and complete with steel scabbard please not two dents
