British Rifles Officers Sword by Wilkinson in very good condition number 10160 Rifles Sword R. W. Grey 14/2/1860 of Northumberland. Early example so the quality of the sword is excellent, regulation hilt, grip and back strap. The blade is super with deep engraving detailing V R crown the reverse with slung bugle and family crest. Maker marked Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London with proof plug to the reverse side and the spine numbered. Complete steel scabbard with no damage or dents but it has been varnished at some point which could be removed easily. Notes: 26th Customs & Excise Middlesex RVC of four companies raised on 9 February 1860 was recruited from customs officers in the London docks.
