British Georgian 1822 General Officer’s Sword
Early pipeback general officer’s or staff officer’s sword with regulation hilt with cross baton and sword below crown, fish skin grip wire bound and stepped pommel. The slightly curved pipeback blade is well etched for 3/4 of it’s length with trophies of arms, GR and crown and warranted within a scroll all within floral decoration. Maker marked Wolley and Sargent, a rare and early form of this pattern of sword complete with brass scabbard.
