British Edwardian Officer’s 17th Lance Cap black patent leather body trimmed with gold bullion braid and embroidery, ribbed white wool mortarboard with bullion cord trim. Silver regimental pattern front plate with King’s Crown, battle honours and regimental badge on a gilded sunburst backing plate. Complete with a gold bullion boss with ER VII cypher and white feather stitched plume complete with lion head ear bosses and velvet backed chin chain. The leather sweatband shows age discolour and silk liner with some small stains, maker marked Cater and Co London slightly fade please see images.
