British 1848 Life Guards Troopers Sword

British 1848 Life Guards Troopers Sword steel bowl guard pierced with honeysuckle pattern. Smooth brass pommel cap and steel back strap with 2 ears rivetted through the tang, complete with fish skin grip bound with brass wire. The slightly curved blade with single fuller to within 11.25 inches of the spear point. The steel scabbard with two raised bands supporting the loose rings and engraved with 2nd L G 254
