British 1796 Blue and Gilt Officer’s Sword by Gibson Thomson and Craig’s Regulation officer’s hilt with leather grip bound by silver wire, the blade with blue and gilt decoration Gr and crown, Royal Coat of arms, mounted cavalry officer and trophies of arms. Also floral decoration including thistles which may point to a Scottish heritage and the fact it came from a good house in Scotland plus makers details and Warranted. It is complete with steel scabbard with two loose rings.
