British 1788 Heavy Cavalry Sword

Regulation 3 bar iron hilt showing age surface pitting and fish skin grip. The blade straight flat back one broad and narrow fuller to each side and spear point. Blade stamped with crown over 1 may have been clean or as noted in Robson a large number of updated swords in the Royal Armouries which may possibly represent the pattern 1788 heavy cavalry sword overall length 112cm blade 94cm
