Queens Own Cameron Highlanders 79th Field Officers Sword by Wilkinson sword London number 44321. This is a rare regimental pattern belonging to Lieutenant – Colonel John W F McLachlan a British Army officer who served with the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders and the Adjutant General’s branch during World War I. He entered the Royal Military College, Sandhurst in 1913 and subsequently saw service on the Western Front. Three bar hilt with chequered pommel and back strap, the blade is super condition with excellent etching with regimental devises the reverse with GR crown and owners initials and Henry Wilkinson London.
