British 1912 WW1 Officer’s Sword by Boyton

Straight single fullered blade with flat back and spear point 89cm in length.The blade is decorated on one side with the crowned royal cypher for George V, and on the other with the crowned royal coat of arms. On both sides there is extensive scrolling foliate designs and intricate cross-hatching for which Boyton is famous. On one side there is the makers name in a shield and on the other a engraved proof. Plated steel bowl guard heavily embossed with a honeysuckle ladder pattern. Fiskskin wrapped grip with brass wire and embossed stepped pommel. Complete with frog and scabbard
