1788 Cavalry sword by Egg

1788 pattern light cavalry sword, German engraved blade with various symbols including Mounted Hussar, blade by JJ Runkel Sohlingen however the JJ Runkel has been removed and stamped EGG possibly part of an order placed by the Board of Ordnance in 1797, please see The British Cavalry Sword 1788 - 1912 book page 8 for reference. The hilt is more in the style of a 1796 however heavier construction with a ribbed leather covered wooden grip slight damage under the pommel. Complete with iron scabbard with central section cover with black leather.
