Description
P1821 heavy cavalry sword belonged to John Yorke who commanded the 1st Royal Dragoons during the Charge of the Heavy Brigade at Bakaklava. The sword is in excellent condition regulation hilt with stepped pommel and wire bound fish skin grip. The slightly curved blade is pipe backed and engraved with Royal Crown GR IV to both sides and with the initials JY. It is complete with steel scabbard, officers knot and research.
